All PING projects focus on some combination of youth, health and technology. On our website PING has chosen to divide our projects and programs in two main areas, youth and technology (with most health projects falling under the technology side). Currently the technology projects are all mobile (cell-phone based) health and education projects that are locally designed, created and implemented in collaboration with local government. Although the areas of youth and technology may seem random they actually come together nicely for the organization’s sustainability and long term goals, which include having local youth from our programs maintaining and supporting many of PING’s mobile health and education projects when they get rolled out at a national level. Our hope is that some of the youth in our programs will also be able to start their own mobile projects, businesses and non-profits after their time with us.
