Positive Innovation for the Next Generation (PING) was a Botswana headquarterered NGO that worked on the ground deploying health and education technology and training local unemployed youth to support and maintain our systems. The organization used this method to launch 11 apps in Southern Africa and partnered with HP, Motorola, Clinton Foundation, CDC, USAID and multiple African telecoms.
PING is well known for its Disease Surveillance and Tracking application for health care workers and its HIV support, reminder and information system for HIV patients.
In 2013 PING began passing these two systems and nine others onto local government bodies. A few months after their last system was passed over to the local Ministry of Health PING shut its doors.
